Matt Waters

Saturday morning

He’s a rock & soul artist from Cincinnati, OH who found love in music at an early age, and got pushed onto the stage for the first time at 14. From there, it was an obsession. Location & attendance didn’t matter….Whether it’s  the Cleveland House of Blues or a Toledo Waffle House…

Matt Waters just loves playing, and would prefer to be picking somewhere than damn near anything.

Waters quickly earned the trust of local clubs, and began opening for national acts such as: AJR, Judah & the Lion, Here Come the Mummies, Freekbass, Tim Reynolds, Afroman…as well as Luke Combs & Judy Collins.

Maria Carelli

Saturday morning

Hailing from Ludlow, Kentucky, Maria Carrelli draws strongly from Appalachian bluegrass and traditional country music, transitioning between upbeat tempos and melody-driven ballads on her debut solo record. Having already traveled extensively with multiple folk and bluegrass groups, her musicianship and songwriting ability act as strong complements to her unique lyrical style.

Scott Carnder and Aaron Jacobs

Saturday afternoon

Scott Carnder and Aaron Jacobs are two of the most familiar faces on the Cincinnati music scene, whether from their former bluegrass band, Hickory Robot, or the countless other acts they perform with locally and regionally.  Their rare appearances as a duo, performing on mandolin and bass, are the joyful experience of two old friends taking pleasure in each other’s musical abilities and creativity.  Expect to hear original compositions, driving bluegrass, classic jazz and even rock covers as interpreted by two master musicians.

Dan Van Vechten

Sunday morning

Dan Van Vechten is a folky singer/songwriter who will play songs ranging from folk to country to anything that may be on the radio, plus of course songs of his own in the mix. Influences include country old timers like Willie Nelson and Kristofferson and folky old timers like Paul Simon and John Prine. His relaxed, mellow delivery always makes for a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Dan’s duo partner on banjo is Hank Becker, best known in Cincinnati for his band, The Rubber Knife Gang.

Anna & The Deeper Well

Sunday afternoon

Anna & The Deeper Well started as the father-daughter-duo Anna and Milovan. The group has been playing for over ten years in the Greater Cincinnati area. In 2012 they added Anna’s husband, Luke Moderwell, to the band. Their music contains an eclectic mix of blues, jazz, folk, originals, and pop.

Jake Speed & the Freddies

Sunday afternoon

Jake Speed & The Freddies play a mix of traditional & original folk, country blues, and ragtime tunes that muse on Cincinnati’s unique past & present. Known as the Woody Guthrie of Cincinnati, Jake Speed uses a traditional folksy delivery to compose timely and timeless songs that tell great stories with a bit of a lyrical edge.
